Why don't social-media posts appear in the feed?

Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and other social platforms are blocked as sources. The goal is a feed worth drafting off — reported pieces, essays, research, product announcements, news — not a second algorithmic timeline. A writer's best material comes from responding to the substance of what's happening in their field. Social feeds compete for that attention without supplying it.

What does "Issue no." mean on the feed?
