Who Runs Onaji
Onaji is operated as a sole proprietorship by Aaron Barlin. Contact: hello@onaji.app.
Your Account
- You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, whether you sign in with email, Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn.
- One Onaji account holds one Voice Profile. You’re welcome to use Onaji for yourself or on behalf of an organization (writing in a brand voice from a shared business email is fine).
- Writers who each need a distinct voice should each have their own account, since a single account can’t hold multiple Voice Profiles.
Subscriptions, Trials, and Refunds
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Current tiers and weekly draft quotas are shown at signup and in your account settings.
- The free trial runs for 7 days on the Refined plan. No credit card is required to start; billing begins only if you choose to subscribe at the end of the trial.
- You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal. Unused time is refunded on a prorated basis (cancel halfway through a billing period and roughly half the period’s fee is returned).
- Plan upgrades and downgrades mid-cycle prorate the same way: the old plan’s remaining value is credited toward the new plan.
What You Own
- Your writing samples, topic tags, Voice Profile, edits, and feedback answers belong to you.
- Drafts Onaji generates from your inputs also belong to you. Onaji claims no copyright or other intellectual-property interest in the output.
- You can request full deletion of your data at any time. See the privacy notice for how deletion works.
What Onaji Won’t Do with Your Content
- Onaji does not train any AI model on your writing samples, Voice Profile, drafts, or feedback.
- Onaji does not use your content to generate drafts for any other user.
- Onaji does not sell your data or your writing.
- Third-party AI providers Onaji routes through receive only what’s needed to complete the request on your behalf. Where available, Onaji selects providers whose terms prohibit training on customer data.
Responsible Use
You agree to use Onaji responsibly. You will not:
- Publish drafts that contain fabricated credentials, experiences, quotes, statistics, or facts you haven’t verified.
- Use Onaji to deceive, defame, harass, or impersonate anyone, including any attempt to pass off someone else’s voice as your own.
- Use Onaji in the commission of any illegal act, or to produce content that is itself illegal (fraud, threats, incitement, non-consensual content, and the like).
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell Onaji’s output as a service of your own.
- Circumvent pricing tiers, rate limits, or security measures.
Liability for What You Publish
Onaji generates draft text on your behalf. The moment you copy, paste, and publish a draft, you are its author. Any civil or criminal liability arising from content you publish (for defamation, false advertising, copyright infringement, regulatory violations, platform policy violations, or any other cause) rests with you, not with Onaji. Review every draft before publishing it.
Service As-Is
Onaji is early-access software. It may have bugs, downtime, or unexpected behavior. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Onaji does not guarantee uptime, draft quality, tag relevance, or that any specific feature will continue to exist.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onaji’s total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid Onaji in the twelve months preceding the claim. Onaji is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or reputational harm.
Changes to These Terms
Onaji may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Onaji after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Onaji is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
